Property Rights Information Seminar

Saturday, April 26, 2014   8AM – 5 PM

Best Western Plus Ottawa/Kanata Hotel & Conference Centre

1876 Robertson Road, Ottawa.  K2H 5B8

If you don’t know your rights,…
you don’t have any!

Join us for a full-day of inspiring speakers on topics ranging from the importance of historical documents such as the Magna Carta and land patents, how conservation authorities are operating outside their original mandate, and how municipalities are implementing by-laws that appear to be contravening superior law.

This seminar will illustrate the Landowner perspective on property rights. Each of us has property rights and we need to know what they are. We also need to know the limitations of provincial and municipal legislation and by-laws to better enable us to enjoy, use and profit from our property. We believe that property owners are the best stewards of their land and can be trusted to be responsible to their neighbours and to make the best decisions about how to use it. We believe governments and their agencies should serve in an advisory capacity when it comes to private property.

Ticket prices are $40 each for OLA members and $65 each for non-members. If you are a member in good standing (paid up membership as of April 2014) of ANY ONE of the Ontario Landowners Association chapters, you are entitled to TWO tickets at the membership price of $40 each.
